Marco Pereira and his Lineu Bravo guitar

Marco Pereira left a testimonial about the instrument that Lineu Bravo has made for him. Check it out:

”In a performance that I gave in Sorocaba, I met Lineu’s father who told me: ‘I have already seen you playing a 7-string guitar made by my son’. Well, I am already playing one and all I can say is that all my other guitars are in silence now. Lineu’s guitar is versatile and goes well in different styles. It is a good instrument. I have no words to explain the sonority of it because it is a secret that only the greatest luthiers of the world know.”

The musician Julio Lemos is guitarist, arranger, and music teacher at UFG. He purchased his guitar in 2013, a 7-nylon string guitar with cedar top and elevated fingerboard. He got to know about Lineu Bravo through Rogério Caetano and Marco Pereira, Lineu’s clients.

Julio left a testimonial about his 7-string guitar made by the luthier: “The guitar that I play, made by Lineu, is a 7-nylon string guitar, with elevated fingerboard and cedar top. It is an instrument that has great quality in so many aspects. Talking about the timbre, the guitar has the ideal sonority to play Brazilian music because it brings about the timbre of guitars played by Rafael Rabelo, Baden Powell and Marco Pereira. It has a high sound intensity, which makes the right hand play more easily since we do not need to use a lot of strength to make a sound. The guitar has good mechanics which makes the technical part on the elevated fingerboard easier. I can see that the strings are very close to the fretboard and it makes the left hand’s playability easier. It works perfectly at solo performances and duo. Nowadays I use the “Carlos Juan” sensor, made in Germany and installed by Paulo Belinati that translates pretty well the original timbre of the acoustic guitar.”
