The guitarist and composer Lucas Telles purchased in 2013 the first 7-steel string guitar Rogério Caetano model with pine top made by the luthier Lineu Bravo. Before that, in 2010, the luthier built him a 7-nylon string guitar.
Lucas describes how he got familiar with Lineu Bravo’s work: “I know his guitars since when he lived in Ouro Preto, when some friends from Minas Gerais purchased his instruments. I met him in person in 2008, in Belo Horizonte, when Lineu came to deliver a guitar to a friend of mine. On that occasion, I was very interested in his guitars but I couldn´t afford them yet. Then, in 2009, I met him in a music festival, in Ourinhos, and played the guitar he had brought to Maurício Carrilho. So, I decided to order my first Lineu Bravo guitar. The second one, a 7-steel string guitar, I ordered after I saw it in Rogério Caetano’s house.”

The guitarist and composer, who is from Juiz de Fora, is graduated in Music at the University of Minas Gerais.
The musician also has a degree at the Promusic Music School.
He had already played in partnership with Marku Ribas, Toninho Carrasqueira, Nailor Proveta, Zé Nogueira, Waldir Silva, Mauro Zockratto and Leo Eymard.
Lucas Telles studies composition and has a group named “Toca de Tatu”.

Lucas Melo, musician from Curitiba and Francisco Solano, musician from Maranhão and member of a Choro group founded in 1973 called “Regional Tira Teima”, both Lineu Bravo’s clients, have recently met in Curitiba. On that occasion, they played their 7-string guitar made by the luthier.
About the meeting, Lucas Melo says: “I met Francisco in 2017, when he went to Curitiba with his group “Regional Tira Teima”. On that occasion, I had the opportunity to play with them. I really got along with Solano and we played a great sound together. He is very nice and knows everything about 7-strings.”
Lucas Melo
Musician from Curitiba, he is guitarist and plays 7-string guitar. He is a member of a group called “Conjunto Choro e Seresta”, he also teaches at Curitiba Conservatorium of Music.
Lucas studied at Jean Jacques Rousseau school and at Curitiba Conservatorium of Music, where he developed, with musicians Sergio Albach and Claudio Menandro, the language of the Choro and the Brazilian guitar. In 2015, he recorded an instrumental album called “Papo Xara” with the musician Lucas Miranda.
As a teacher, he was invited to teach at the Choro Workshop of the Paraná Arts College (2011), at Curitiba Conservatorium of Music. (2012) and at EPM Rotterdam (2015).
He has already performed in Brazil and in many other countries in partnership with musicians such as: Rogério Souza, Mario Seve, Antônio Rocha, Ronaldo do Bandolim, Dirceu Leite, Ana Paula da Silva, Ceumar, Toninho Carrasqueira, Joao Macacão, Rafael Toledo, Sérgio Albach, Julião Boêmio, Daniel Migliavacca,
Lucas is also a producer in Curitiba.
Lucas Melo and Lineu Bravo Guitar
Lucas purchased a 7-string guitar made by luthier Lineu Bravo in 2010, however it was stolen in 2011. The musician got the guitar back in 2016.
Lucas got to know about Lineu’s work through another Lineu Bravo’s clients, such as Marco Pereira and Rogério Caetano.
Lucas Melo left a testimonial about his instrument, a 7-string guitar: “Lineu’s instrument is unique, with a wonderful timbre. After I started playing it I didn’t want any other. In 2011, I was mugged and the guitar was taken by the thief. But five years later I got it back.”
Francisco Solano
Francisco Solano’s hobby is the music. He is a member of a group called “Tira Teima”, a traditional Choro group in Maranhão.
He is the president of Maranhão Choro Club, and he plays the 7-string guitar.
Franciso gave an interview to the website “O Imparcial” saying he believes that the “roda de choro” (the musical groups that play Choro are called ‘Rodas de Choro’) is the biggest school: “Rodas de Choro are the school of Choro. You can go to the music school to develop technique, but the school of Choro is the ‘roda’, there is no other way. The Choro emerged this way and that’s how it has value, as I see.”
Francisco has also talked about his biggest musical reference, Dino 7-string: “Dino is my big reference, and I had the pleasure to talk to him. Dino is the biggest 7-string reference. I think the 7-string only exists because of him. He created the way to play it.”
The musician said he appreciates other new musicians work, such as: Gian Correa, from São Paulo, Rogério Caetano, also Lineu Bravo’s client, Zé Barbeiro and Luiz Filipe. According to Francisco, the most frequently played guitar in Brazil is the 7-string: “There are so many good musicians nowadays, wherever you go.”

Marcus Tardelli, who is from Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, is a soloist guitar and autodidact. His influences come much more from music than the guitar itself.
The musician has reinvented the guitar by creating a new way of playing it. Lineu Bravo explains this gift of his talented client: “When the guitar is in his hands it turns into another instrument.”
The composer, guitarist and also Lineu Bravo’s client, Guinga, refers to Marcus as the biggest violonist in Brazil: “He is a revolutionist of the guitar technique, a genius, he invented a new technique for the guitar. He is the only person who can perform it. In one of the moves of this technique, he uses the left thumb (it isn´t often used to play the guitar).”
The innovative technique by Marcus Tardelii
Before learning how to play the guitar, when he was 7 years old, Marcus Tardelli had already had a deep connection with the music. “I used to listen to a lot of albums from an early age, I already had a lot of sounds in my head and the guitar emerged as a tool to express these ideas. I’ve always preferred music rather than guitar because I used to feel comfortable with it. I have naturally developed new techniques to express the sounds that I have been thinking of, such as the use of the thumb to play the guitar.”, says the violonist, Lineu Bravo’s client.
Tardelli explains that the guitar was the track and the target was the music. So, his technique emerged as a necessity to achieve the music he had already imagined, since the traditional technique could not do that.

The album called “Unha e Carne” and Lineu Bravo guitar
The solo album named “Unha e Carne” was recorded with Guinga compositions and Tardelli made all the arrangements with his unique way to play the instrument. He recorded this album playing Guinga’s favorite guitar, made by the luthier Lineu Bravo.
Tardelli talks about it: “Before I started recording the album I had been testing some guitars at the studio. At that time, apart from the guitars I had, I also took a Lineu Bravo guitar, one that Guinga had just received. He was delighted by the instrument and he told me that it was one of the best guitars he had ever played. So, he suggested that I tested the guitar at the studio. I did it and the guitar matched so well with the playlist that I ended up using it in almost all the tracks”.
“Almost at the end of the album, Guinga gave me two gifts: a music made in my honor that represented the affinity between us. The second one was the guitar made by Lineu that I had played to record the album. He said: After listening to you playing this instrument, I can say that it no longer belongs to me.”

Elder Costa is post graduated in “Canção Popular”, bachelor in Guitar, by Mozarteum University of São Paulo (SP) and has a degree in Music from the University of Três Corações (MG).
Music Career
His musical career began at the Conservatory of Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais, where he participated in various musical groups. He also taught guitar at the Conservatory of Pouso Alegre, (MG) and Souza Lima in São Paulo.
In the early 90’s, he formed the band “Toque de Midas”, with whom he recorded three albums, toured throughout the country and received, in 1996, a nomination for “Best Band” at the Sharp Prize, alongside “Titãs” and “Paralamas do Sucesso”.
From 1999 to 2003, Elder joined, as guitarist, the band of the singer Ana Carolina. He participated in the DVD “Ana Rita Joana Iracema Carolina”, sharing the guitars with producer “Liminha”.
In 2002, Elder Costa released his first solo album, “Lindas e Benditas”, with participation of Milton Nascimento and Ana Carolina. Bringing an attractive fusion of pop and MPB. This work reached a significant sales mark in the independent market, bringing an attractive fusion of pop and MPB.
Elder still toured with Milton Nascimento in the “Telemig Celular de Cultura” project; and took part in the project “Novas Caras da Música Brasileira”, with Ivan Lins, Marina Lima, Zeca Baleiro, Chico Cesar and Rita Ribeiro; launched by Abril Music.
Elder also had the opportunity to perform with musicians such as Toninho Horta, Beto Guedes, Samuel Rosa, Maria Bethania, Marina Lima, Adriana Calcanhoto, Daniela Mercury and Alcione.
Elder Costa is also a producer of the “Festival de Artes da Mantiqueira” in Gonçalves, city of Minas Gerais and has already performed in many different countries with the group “Trio Mocotó”.
The talented musician moves freely in various styles, from music of Minas Gerais to pop music, passing through many other styles. His music carries the influence of his origins, but with a great vision towards the world.

Elder Costa, talented musician, producer and guitarist, has purchased a Lineu Bravo guitar with Canadian Cedar top and Indian Jacaranda back, made in 2014. Recently, he debuted the instrument at a studio, to record his new album that will be launched soon and will contain instrumental tracks.
Elder got to know Lineu’s work through a friend, the violonist Marco Elizeo, from Três Pontas, Minas Gerais. Marco has made a lot of compliments about Lineu’s work and told the musician that the luthier lived in a nearby town. At that time, Lineu lived in Paraisópolis, Minas Gerais and Elder, in Gonçalves.
